My lovely, lovely gorey chums,
I am writing this after my first real night out in Londontown, compliments of a very fine gentlemen named Kent Coupe who obliged me in many a beer (he partook himself) and we ended up having one of the best conversations over a period of 5-6 hours that I have had all trip.
The problem seems to be that I am surrounded by girls who are studying fashion.... and I don't mean high fashion like the girls we see at LC or anywhere. These girls think forever 21 is couture and vintage shopping is a sin. Well dearests.... unfortunately the stereotype is quite right and the AE/ forever 21 girls don't have an interesting thought in their heads... I have met a great girl who is also studying aspects of media and production, but it's a bit disheartening to find myself in the middle of my favourite city with a bunch of ambercromie clad boys (6 boys actually....) and tons of California or Michigan girls who couldn't tell high fashion from a hole in the bloody wall- or are as interesting as a bloody hole in the wall.
Anyway, that's not all bad- I'm living in a combined flat with 3 other girls and I really lucked out because they are all nice and interesting people.
Also I had a brilliant night with my friend Kent in 2 different pubs talking about all walks of life and literature and history. So to you dearest Kent... Huzzah as we both say in the old country.
Anyway, there will be pictures soon, my flat is of course pink, but lovely none the less, and we went on a walking tour of London today which was absolutely beautiful (ohhh Winston Churchill I bask in your glory.
I will write more tomorrow or monday after my classes begin and I am completely sober.
All my love, and please do a round for my well being,
E
